Frequently Asked Questions (The Straight Talk)

1. Is hiring a Private Investigator even legal?

Short answer: Yes. Longer answer: As long as you hire someone licensed by the State of Florida (like us), it’s perfectly legal. We operate strictly within the bounds of Florida Statutes. We aren’t “vigilantes”—we’re professional fact-gatherers. If a task involves breaking the law, we won’t do it. We look terrible in orange jumpsuits.

2. Can you guarantee you’ll find what I’m looking for?

We can guarantee we will look. We can guarantee we will be thorough. We cannot guarantee that the truth will be what you want it to be. If you think your spouse is cheating and they are actually just spending four hours a day at a competitive knitting club, that’s the report you’re going to get. We provide the facts, not “fan fiction.”

3. How much is this going to cost me?

Investigative work isn’t a “flat fee” world because every case is a different puzzle. We typically work on a Retainer + Hourly Rate basis. You’ll know exactly what the hourly rate is, what the mileage costs are, and where your money is going. No “mystery fees,” no surprise bills—just transparent professional services.

4. Will the “Target” find out they are being watched?

If they find out, we aren’t doing our job right. We pride ourselves on being the most boring, invisible car on the block. We use high-end equipment so we can keep a respectful (and tactical) distance. Discretion isn’t just a buzzword for us; it’s our entire business model.

5. Can you hack into someone’s phone, email, or social media?

No. That’s a great way for both of us to end up in federal court. While movies make it look like we just press a “hack” button, real-life privacy laws are very strict. However, we are experts at finding information that people voluntarily (and often accidentally) leave behind in the digital world.

6. Do you really spend all day sitting in a car?

Yes. Sometimes it’s hot, sometimes it’s raining, and the coffee is almost always lukewarm by hour six. But that’s where the “gold” is found. Patience is our primary tool; we sit so you don’t have to.
