The “Reset” That Started It All
Most people hit the “snooze” button; Ashley Wright hit the “reset” button. After a career pivot in Metro Atlanta that could best be described as “abrupt,” Ashley did some soul-searching and realized his true calling: delivering news that absolutely no one wanted to hear.
Peachstate Legal Support was born. As an Officer of the Courts, Ashley spent his days serving civil papers and his nights trackin’ down folks who “forgot” their court dates. Let’s just say when you’re the guy handing out subpoenas or escorted trips to the local jail, you don’t get a lot of dinner invites. But you do get very good at reading people, finding the unfindable, and knowing exactly which porch light is a “nobody’s home” lie.
The Scenic Route to the Panhandle
Life eventually traded the Atlanta traffic for the Florida Gulf. Ashley spent 13 years behind the wheel of a truck, seeing the country and enjoying the quiet. But retirement proved to be a little too quiet. He missed the “legal genealogy”—that thrill of the hunt, the deep-dive research, and the puzzle-solving that comes with investigative work.
So, he traded the semi-truck for a surveillance sedan, aced the boards, and opened A.E. Wright Investigations.
Reality Check: Less Ferrari, More Fact-Finding
If you’re looking for Tom Selleck in a Hawaiian shirt driving a red Ferrari, you’ve got the wrong guy (and the wrong decade).
In reality, being a P.I. is 10% adrenaline and 90% being a part-time counselor, part-time data-decipherer, and full-time professional car-sitter. It’s hours spent behind a glowing computer screen or parked under a Magnolia tree, waiting for the truth to pop its head out.
